UniSA is South Australia’s largest University with more than 30 000 students and a strong regional presence with regional campuses in Mount Gambier and Whyalla. Athletics SA

Athletics SA

The Athletic Association of SA Incorporated (trading as Athletics SA) is a not for profit, community focused organisation offering athletics competitions and services for athletes of a variety of ages and abilities. We offer competition structures that cater for athletes from recreational participants, right through to elite participants. Our competition offerings cover regular track and field meets in the summer and road running, cross country running, and race walking during the winter.

Athletics SA is the peak body for athletics in South Australia. The organisation is a state member association of Athletics Australia and works closely with other state member associations around Australia.

Athletics SA operates under a club structure system. There are currently 15 affiliated clubs and a number of specialist groups and organisations that provide services to their members, including the provision of training venues, coaching services, and social functions. Athletes compete for their respective clubs in competitions and events organised by Athletics SA. The structure of competition allows for the participation of people of all abilities and interests. This creates a welcoming environment for participation where anyone that has an interest in participating in athletics can be a part of the action.

Athletics SA also offers pathways for more serious athletes who have a desire to compete at national and international level.
